What is a Checkout session?
A checkout session is one of the payment collection offered by Finmo which allows you to leverage multiple payment methods through which your end-customers can choose to make payments through QR_code/Checkout Payment link.
Creation of checkout session
To receive funds in your Finmo account through a Checkout link or a QR_code, you will be required to create a checkout session through the dashboard. Please note that checkout session can be created only for domestic currencies to collect payments.
Importance of checkout session
Simplified Payment Process: A checkout session streamlines the process of making payments for the remitters. By providing a centralized interface, it allows your end-customers to complete transactions quickly and securely, without the need for your end-customers to manually input payment details for each transaction
Multiple Payment Methods: Checkout sessions offer flexibility for a payment method to be processed, along with the option to transact through multiple payment methods. For instance: You can leverage these ways to collect funds in AUD domestic: Through NPP Payid or through BSB & Account number via NPP/Osko in Australia.
Reduced Risk of Errors: By using a standardized and an automated checkout process, the risk of human error in entering payment details or calculating amounts is significantly reduced, ensuring accurate and seamless transactions
Faster Payments: The integration of a checkout session speeds up the payment process by reducing manual intervention, allowing faster transactions, which is crucial for maintaining cash flow
Customizable User Experience: You will have the access for the checkout session to suit your end-customer needs, providing a seamless, localized experience, which can help improve customer satisfaction as a whole
Steps to create a checkout page
You can also create a Checkout-session through a no-code solution available on Finmo Dashboard. Follow the below steps to create a checkout session :-
- On the Finmo Dashboard’s Payin section, click on the Checkout Session > Create Payment Link
- Enter the details required for the Country, Currency & respective payin method that you want to allow end-users to pay in & click on Create Checkout:
- Once the checkout session is created, you can share the checkout URL with your customers which redirects to your checkout page, which looks like below:
This page will allow your end-customers to make the payment and complete the Payin. Once the payment is made by the remitter, a credit would be seen along with the checkout ID associated to it on your Finmo dashboard.
