My PAYIN expired in the NZD region. What does it mean?

Modified on Fri, 2 Aug at 12:08 AM

PAYIN Expiration can be due to the following reasons:

  1. Customer Cancelled the payment

  2. The link expired post its Expiry Time.

  3. If the link is shared externally through Third Party Channels like Whatsapp.

When a new NZD Payin (Poli) is initiated, its initial status is set as "PENDING".

If the customer completes the payment within 15 minutes, the status of the payment is updated to "AWAITING_FUNDS".

In cases where payment is not made within this 15-minute window, the status automatically changes to "EXPIRED".

Finmo allocates a period of up to 7 days to receive these funds. Upon receipt of the funds within this timeframe, the status of the payment is changed to "COMPLETED". Otherwise, if the funds are not received by Finmo within 7 days, the status is then changed to "FAILED".

The life cycle of an NZD Poli Payin is:

"PENDING" -> "AWAITING_FUNDS" OR "EXPIRED" -> "COMPLETED" OR "FAILED"
